WHAT THEY'RE SAYING

I came into this never wanting to join anything, especially without a friend. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I gained strength, endurance and confidence that I can continue pushing myself and knowing that I can do it and not give up.

(What I love most about the camp is) how different every single day is and they aren't just regular exercises you can do on a video at home. Matthew is a great leader.  He pushes you but not in an aggressive way and what he ends up doing is making you want to push yourself. I hope he and Pat realize how much they are really changing people’s lives.  I have a totally different outlook on exercise, it doesn't have to be the same old thing for an hour to see results.

Matthew does a great job demonstrating proper technique (or improper, for that matter), to ensure you're getting the most out of the activity.

I've recommended it to several of my friends.

This has been the best fitness experience I've participated in in years. There is always something new to look forward to. The group is wonderful to work with. Matthew pays attention to what your capability is and pushes you to your limit. I have really gained confidence as I've worked through these activities. (Especially the ones that I thought I wouldn't be able to do.)

(What I love most about the camp is) the fact that it doesn't stop. It pushes you for the entire hour, which is very fulfilling.  Our group is also awesome. Everyone is supportive. People don't complain, and they encourage each other. It is a very positive atmosphere....even when you're dying...

(What I love most about the camp is) it is challenging.  Matthew mixes things up so no two sessions are the same. You definitely don't get bored and more importantly you do see a difference if you work hard.

I find both Matthew and Pat very encouraging!!!!

As a 52 year old Martial Arts master and ex college baseball and tennis player that has a back problem and a shoulder problem, I was concerned that I would be able to change up my workouts, try new things, not be injured and be able to handle it with my ego. Matthew and Pat are awesome and inspiring, thus none of my concerns were a problem. Many of the things we do are tough for me, especially if it has some to do with running, but I feel I made some progress and I'm hopeful for the future. This camp has blessed my wife and I greatly and it's given us something to share as we try to prepare to be empty nester's. My wife has inspired me to try to get to the point where I can do some 5k's with her and this is from a guy who lives by the code of "avoid running at all costs." Thank you guys and may God continue to bless you and through you bless others!!!

Matthew is an outstanding trainer.  He has helped me lose over 40 pounds, become more fit than I have ever been, and actually enjoy the process!! His workouts are intense and effective, but  always varied and never boring.  Matthew is an excellent motivator who sets challenging but  achievable goals and makes you believe that anything is possible......the sky's the limit!!

I'm thrilled that someone is finally setting up an ABC in this vicinity. I took part in the South Florida ABC just before I moved to Michigan. Our motto was that even if you can't keep up, do what you can, just don't stop moving. My results were great. I lost more than several inches. The biggest thing was not what I lost, but how my body contoured and how much healthier I felt. I went from a size 18 to a size 14. My endurance also improved greatly. At the beginning of the first camp a "ran" a mile in 16 minutes. By the end of the 3rd camp, I was running the mile in just under 10 minutes.

I had always been fairly active and fit through out my life but I had fallen into the middle-age trap of spending extended hours at a job which I enjoy but requires me to be on the computer, phone or traveling (aka my mind was getting a great workout but not my body!) and focusing on others while putting my own well-being on the back-burner. Ok, I got a little lazy, too. The result: gains (weight, size) and losses (muscle tone); not in areas that you want either of them. I finally decided that I had to make a change and started training with Matthew. The result: again, gains and losses - but this time positive ones! At age 52, I'm stronger, leaner than I?ve been in years (maybe stronger than ever!), my endurance has improved (enough that I've added running a 5K to my "bucket list") and I love how I feel both mentally and physically. I have to admit, that the compliments that I receive aren't so bad, either! Besides his knowledge, Matthew has encouraged and pushed me to do more. He keeps it real but his belief that I can do it is contagious. I believe that I can, too. And, I believe in him which is why we're bringing Adventure Boot Camp to the East Lansing/Greater Lansing area. While it will take individual commitment from each camper, I cannot wait to see the great results that others, too, will receive from the "Matthew-effect" as he leads us through each camp!
